St Lukes Terrace - Roadworks - Stop Not In Use

19th Jun 2026 onwards

Due to roadworks, St Lukes Terrace bus stop heading southbound (toward Goldstone Valley/toward Hollingdean) is currently suspended.

For route 20, please use Freshfield Road or Cuthbert Road bus stops.
For route 21, please use Glynde Road or Cuthbert Road bus stops.

Refectory Road, Bramber House - Roadworks - Stop Suspension

15th Jun 2026 - 10th Jul 2026

Due to roadworks on Refectory Road, we are currently unable to serve the Bramber House bus stop towards Northfield Crescent.

There will be a temporary bus stop on East Slope Road where passengers will be able to board the bus to get to Northfield Crescent.

Old Steine, Stop S1 and S2 (Towards Brighton Station) - Stop Suspension

9th Jun 2026 - 7th Jul 2026

Due to Old Steine improvements, routes 12/12A/12x/13X/14 will be unable to serve S1 or S2 bus stops towards Brighton Station between 08:00-19:00 each day from 9th June until 7th July 2026.

Please use Sealife Centre or North Street bus stops in this time

Buses in the opposite direction will be operating their normal route.

Sussex Police Headquarters, Lewes - Roadworks - Stop Suspension

13th May 2026 - 28th Aug 2026

Due to roadworks, the Sussex Police Headquarters stop is unable to be served southbound (toward Brighton) only.

Please use: Barn Road or Sackville House

Westbourne Villas (Eastbound Towards Whitehawk / Brighton Town Centre) - Temporary Stop

The Westbourne Villas (Eastbound Towards Whitehawk / Brighton Town Centre) stop has been moved to a temporary stop location outside the Hove Museum of Creativity.

De Montfort Road - Roadworks - Stop Suspension

30th Apr 2026 - 24th Jul 2026

Due to improvement works, we are currently unable to serve the De Montford Road (Elm Grove) stops in both directions.

Passengers are advised to use Bonchurch Road or Bottom of Elm Grove bus stops during this time.

Hailsham High Street - Road Closure - Stop Suspension

Today 07:00 - 17:00

Due to a event taking place between 07:00 - 17:00, we are unable to serve the Hailsham High Street bus stop towards Eastbourne.

There will be a temporary bus stop opposite Tesco where services will be able to pick up/drop off passengers.

Alternatively, passengers are advised to use the bus stops Hailsham Academy and Police Station.

London to Brighton Bike Ride - Sunday, 21st of June

21st Jun 2026

The London To Brighton Bike Ride takes place on Sunday, 21st of June.

There will be changes to many of our routes. Please check our timetables and leave extra time for your journey.

Planned changes to the schedules are between 09:00-18:30 (Unless otherwise advised).

During this time, there will be no Southbound Traffic along Lewes Road (Towards Brighton after Falmer Station).

Between 09:00 & 18:30 all passengers on Lewes Road need to catch the Northbound (Towards the university) route 25 to get to the City Centre.
Route 25 will serve London Road Shops in both directions for passengers wishing to travel to or from Lewes Road during this time.

All Eastbound Coast Road buses will use St James’s Street (Route 27) or Eastern Road (Routes 12,13x,14) between 06:00 & 18:00.
Westbound Coast Road buses are normal route .

Coldean Lane re-opens at 19:00.


Route 3X
Towards Falmer - No change.
Towards Hangleton - Buses will be on diversion after serving Falmer Station and will go via the A27 Non Stop, Carden Avenue and London Road where buses will resume normal route from the Cheapside stop.

Route 12, 12A, 13X, 14 &14B
Towards Brighton - No change.
Towards Eastbourne - Buses will leave from Brighton Station as normal and serve North Street however, buses will be diverting via Edward Street & Rock Gardens (06:00-18:00) (Unable to serve the Sealife Centre and New Steine).

Route 22
Route information will be updated shortly.

Route 23
Buses towards Sussex University - No change.
Buses towards Brighton Marina after serving Brighton University Falmer, will divert via Falmer Road to Queens Park Junction where buses will resume normal route between 09:00 & 18:30.

Route 24
This route will not run all day until buses resume from Asda at 19:25 & Churchill Square at 19:08.

**New** There will be an hourly shuttle bus operated by Spirit of Sussex between Coldean and Asda Hollingbury, where passengers will be able to change for buses towards the City Centre and onward travel.

The Shuttle bus will operate as a loop service, departing from Asda and will serve Coldean Lane, Hawkhurst Road, Rushlake Road, Park Road and Brighton Academy before returning to Asda.
Buses will depart Asda Crowhurst Road at the following times:

Route 25
Between 08:58 & 18:30, buses to Sussex University will divert via London Road, Oxford Street, Union Road & Lewes Road Northbound (Towards the University).
Buses from Sussex University towards Brighton between 09:00 & 18:48 will divert from Falmer Station via the A27, Carden Avenue, Beaconsfield Road into London Road to resume a normal route.
The Level Bus Stop will not be served during this time.

Route 27
Towards Brighton - No change.
Towards Saltdean - Buses will divert via St James's Street & Rock Gardens (07:00-18:00).

Route 28-29-29A
Towards Brighton (Inbound) from Falmer Station will divert via the A27, Carden Avenue, Beaconsfield Road into London Road to St. Peter's Church & terminating at the Old Steine between 10:00 & 18:00.

Towards Lewes and Tunbridge Wells, buses will be starting at the Old Steine between 09:30 & 18:00 will serve St Peters Church and then run Non-stop to Elm Grove where we will resume normal route.

Route 46 Hollingbury
Buses will operate from Hollingbury to Churchill Square only, between 09:30 & 18:00.
Passengers for onward travel should change at Churchill Square.

The normal route applies before and after these times.

Route 46 Southwick
Buses will operate between Southwick Square and Churchill Square only between 09:30 & 17:45.
Passengers for onward travel should change at Churchill Square.
Buses will run from Southwick to Churchill Square Via Montpelier Road & Upper North Street, terminating at Imperial Arcade.
The normal route applies before and after these times.

Route 48
Full route suspended between 08:30-18:25.
There will be a shuttle bus in operation running the 48 and 49 routes in Bevendean and Moulsecoomb.
There will be a temporary stop on Colbourne Avenue between the Doctors Surgery and Morrisons Local for passengers going to Moulsecoomb and a temporary stop on the Avenue (Outside the Doctors Surgery) for passengers going to Bevendean .

Any passengers needing buses in to town, should cross Lewes Road to the stop opposite the Avenue (Brighton University), where passengers can catch the diverted 25 route into Brighton. (The 25 will be on a diversion heading Northbound via the A27 to get into Brighton).


Route 49
Full Route suspended 08:30-18:25.
There will be a shuttle bus in operation running the 48 and 49 routes in Bevendean and Moulsecoomb.

This route will not operate today.

The London to Brighton Bike Ride takes place on Sunday 21 June and the following stops will be

Brighton (Preston Circus)
Journeys from London will divert to serve a temporary stop at ‘New England Road (Stop E)’ before
routing to a temporary stop at Brighton Station.
Journeys to London will be unaffected.

Brighton (York Place) will not be served

Brighton, Old Steine
All journeys normally scheduled to call at Old Steine will instead be relocated to a temporary stop at
Brighton Station - ‘Stroudley Road, opposite station car park exit’.

Journeys from Worthing will divert after serving Hove Kingsway, via Grand Ave,
The Drive, Old Shoreham Rd, New England Rd, New England St, Fleet St, & Stroudley Rd,
to Brighton Station.

Journeys to London will leave Brighton Station via Billinton Way, Stroudley Rd,
Fleet St, New England St, & New England Rd, returning to the normal line of route serving
Brighton (Preston Circus).

Tower Street, Heathfield - Roadworks - Stop Suspension

22nd Jun 2026 - 15th Jul 2026

Due to roadworks, we are currently unable to serve the Tower Street bus stop in Heathfield towards Tunbridge Wells.

Passengers are advised to use the bus stops Waldron Court and Community College at this time.

Telscombe Cliffs Way, Towards Brighton - Stop Suspension

22nd - 24th Jun 2026

Due to roadworks, buses will be unable to serve the Telscombe Cliffs Way Westbound ( Towards Brighton) 22nd , 23rd and 24th June 2026 between 19:00-00:00.

Elim Church, Newhaven - Roadworks - Stop Suspension

24th - 30th Jun 2026

Due to roadworks, we are currently unable to serve the bus stop Elim Church towards Brighton.

Passengers are advised to use the bus stops Newhaven South Way and The Rose Walk at this time.

Stanley Deason Leisure Centre - Roadworks - Stop Suspension

24th - 25th Jun 2026

Due to roadworks, the Stanley Deason Leisure Centre stop Southbound (towards Brighton Marina) will be suspended from 09:30 - 15:30 on the 24th and 25th June 2026.

Passengers are advised to use Sadler Way or Wadhurst Rise bus stops during this time.

Findon Road - Stop Suspension - Towards Swanborough Drive

Due to roadworks, Findon Road stop will be suspended between 09:30-14:30 on 1st July 2026.

Royal George, Shoreham - Roadworks - Stop Suspension

16th - 17th Jul 2026

Due to roadworks, the Royal George bus stops will be suspended in both directions on the 16th and 17th July 2026, from 09:30-15:30.

During this time, passengers are advised to use Holmbush Centre or Southlands Hospital bus stops.
